Again it has been a while, but all the more reason to keep writing.

Last week was the thesis mid review for the Philadelphia University School of Architecture.
Below are a few highlights from the presentation.

ACCESSENABLE:

Despite the rapid expansion of global social and economic connectivity, thousands of crafts and craftsmen remain invisible because of an inability to access the virtual marketplace that enables this connectivity.

For sellers within physical marketplaces of rapidly industrializing nations or developing nations, this inability to access the virtual marketplace confines them to traditional methods of commercial activity. This does not suggest that traditional methods are ineffective or outdated; rather, this suggests that neither the seller nor the buyer benefit from this lack of connectivity.

By creating a new architecture that merges physical and virtual market places, new spatial relationships will expose buyers to invisible creation and enable sellers to access social, economic, and developmental opportunities within a future market space.
